This has been another full week! Yesterday we signed onto Edmodo and made our avatars. The students watched a short video about internet safety and all scored an 80% or above. They learned what is appropriate internet behavior and then made their avatar. Edmodo is a great way for them to connect with their classmates at home. Have you student show you how it works!
Have a wonderful week-end,
Leslie Weiss
Reading: This week we learned about the difference between poetry, prose, and drama. We learned the purpose of each type reading material as well as the features and forms. We started the week by Mrs. Weiss reading the material and ended the week with the students reading literature and deciding which genre the material is from.
Writing: I have really enjoyed reading everyone's personal narratives! Rough drafts were due on Wednesday and I have been meeting with students all week to proofread their writing. They also peer edited their pieces. Once the writing has been edited by me, the students have started to type their story on google docs. Writing pieces will be due next week.
